Yankees’ Chisholm Avoids UCL Surgery Report

New York Yankees’ new player, Jazz Chisholm Jr., will not need surgery for his elbow injury.

For now, Chisholm will rest and do rehab to possibly return in September. He got hurt during a game against the White Sox and hasn’t played since. The Yankees got him from the Marlins on July 27 for three prospects.

Since joining the Yankees, Chisholm has been impressive, hitting .316/.361/.702 with seven home runs and five stolen bases in just 14 games. This season overall, he has an OPS+ of 110 across 115 games between both teams. While he’s out, Oswaldo Cabrera will likely cover third base.

Yankees’ Current Situation:

The Yankees are set to start a series against the Tigers with a record of 72-50. They’re tied with the Orioles for first place in the AL East. Fans are probably excited about this tight race! They hope Chisholm can return for their important series against the Orioles starting on Sept. 24.
