World Series Odds: Dodgers, Yankees Favorites

The Yankees have been struggling, going 6-17 in their last 23 games.

Meanwhile, the Dodgers are dealing with numerous injuries and were just swept by the Phillies. On the other hand, Philadelphia holds the best record in baseball, followed closely by the Guardians and Orioles.

Here are the current odds to win the World Series:
– Dodgers +320
– Phillies +450
– Yankees +500
– Orioles +625
– Braves +1000
– Astros +1500
– Guardians +1700

What’s happening here? Let’s dive in.

Yankees

The Yankees always have bad odds because they’re so popular. Many people bet on them, which affects their chances. Right now, I wouldn’t say they have the best shot to win the AL pennant even though they’re favorites. They do have talent but I’d prefer betting on teams like the Astros or Orioles instead.

Dodgers

Like the Yankees, you won’t get good odds with the Dodgers due to their star power . Despite injuries, they still lead NL West by seven games. If everyone gets healthy by playoffs—imagine a rotation of Tyler Glasnow, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Clayton Kershaw, and Walker Buehler—they could be unstoppable. Mookie Betts and Max Muncy returning would strengthen their lineup too.

If they make it to playoffs healthy and performing well, fans might think they’re unbeatable!

I wouldn’t mind betting on them; if everyone’s back from injury, they’re stacked.

Phillies

Philly is a big market but surprisingly hasn’t seen much of an odds bump despite doing great this season. They’ve faced injuries to key players like Trea Turner and Bryce Harper but still look strong. Their rotation is top-notch and keeps their bullpen fresh. With a powerful lineup and solid pitching staff built for October baseball, I’m sticking with my preseason pick: Phillies as World Series champs.

Possible Bargain Plays

Consider taking a chance on Twins at +2500. They look like a playoff team; if Royce Lewis, Byron Buxton , and Carlos Correa stay fit in October along with strong performances from Joe Ryan and Pablo López in rotation—they could be formidable.

Also worth noting: Pirates at +17500 might be worth a small bet even though making playoffs seems unlikely for them. Imagine if they sneak into Wild Card spot with Paul Skenes leading playoff rotation—it could be similar to Diamondbacks’ run last year.

What do you think? Do these odds make sense or seem off?
