Saturday MLB Playoff Picks: Ramírez Tops Skubal

Only one game remains in the divisional series, and it’s been a thrilling ride so far.

While fans of losing teams might not agree, the excitement has been off the charts. Betting on these games can be tricky due to all the surprises, but there are still ways to find opportunities.

Game Time: Tigers vs. Guardians

At 1:08 p.m. ET, the Tigers face off against the Guardians. It’s a showdown between left-handed pitchers Tarik Skubal and Matthew Boyd. Skubal has been incredible this season, likely earning himself a Cy Young award with his stellar performance. In the playoffs, he’s thrown 13 scoreless innings with 14 strikeouts, allowing only seven hits and one walk. The Guardians have struggled against him this year, scoring just once in 14 innings.

Boyd did well in Game 2 for his role but isn’t expected to match Skubal’s level. However, after a rest day on Friday , Cleveland can rely on their strong bullpen featuring Tim Herrin, Cade Smith, Hunter Gaddis, and Emmanuel Clase. Although they’ve had some shaky moments in this series, they’re still top-notch.

Some fans might feel hopeful about their team’s chances given recent performances.

The play: Guardians +105

Even though many will back Skubal because of his impressive stats — hence our plus money! — I think the Guardians’ comeback in Game 4 saved them from elimination. Boyd and their bullpen should hold up against Detroit’s offense while they manage to score just enough runs.

The play: Under 6 runs (-120)

Last game’s under prediction didn’t pan out as expected; however I doubt Cleveland scores more than three runs here or that they’ll need any more than that either way! A final tally around 3-2 seems likely but could even be lower!

Prediction: 2-1 Guardians

Looking for player props? Keep an eye on José Ramírez! He hit a homer in Game 4 after breaking out of his slump He’s familiar with key parts of Detroit’s bullpen too – going four-for-ten (including playoffs) with two doubles against Skubal over recent seasons without facing platoon disadvantages thanks to being switch hitter!

What do you think? Will your favorite team come out on top today?
