Judge Eyes AL Triple Crown, HR Record

The Yankees lost to the Reds 5-4 on Tuesday night, but Aaron Judge still shined.

Judge went 3-for-4 and smashed his 32nd home run of the season:

Judge is on track to break his own record for most home runs in a season. He hit his 32nd homer by July 2 this year, while in 2022 he reached that number by July 16.

Now there’s talk about Judge possibly winning the Triple Crown. After Tuesday’s game, he’s leading in batting average (.321), home runs (32), and RBIs (83). The last player to win it was Miguel Cabrera in 2012. Before him, Carl Yastrzemski did it in 1967. No one from the National League has won since Joe Medwick in 1937.

Triple Crown Watch:

Even though Judge’s performance is amazing, winning the Triple Crown might be tough because Steven Kwan is batting .362 . Kwan hasn’t played enough games yet due to an injury but will soon qualify and take a big lead over Judge in batting average.

Fans might think it’s exciting to see if Judge can keep up this pace!

Regardless of how things turn out with the Triple Crown, Judge is having another fantastic season. Despite a slow start due to an injury during spring training, he now boasts an OPS of 1.158—higher than Ohtani’s NL-leading OPS.

Judge may not win the Triple Crown but seems likely to grab AL MVP honors again and possibly hit around 63 homers too.

What do you think about Judge’s chances?
