Police in Allen, Texas, are looking into the theft of expensive baseball cards.
A card dealer shared a spreadsheet online showing that nearly $2 million worth of sports cards were stolen at a recent card show. The Dallas Card Show, one of the biggest events for card dealers in the U.S., was where this happened. On Sunday, a man distracted a vendor from Legacy Cardz while another swiped a case of cards behind him.
Ashish Jai from Legacy Cardz posted video surveillance on X and Instagram to help identify the thieves. He also offered a $70,000 reward for any information leading to their capture .
Thank for all of the support we have recieved. We appreciate all of the messages of prayer as well.
We’ve decided to offer a reward of $70k for the return or information leading to the return of the cards that were stolen

Organized Crime:
This isn’t an isolated incident. Back in May 2024, over $2.1 million worth of cards were stolen in Ohio while an owner was prepping for a show. A 27-year-old man was later caught for that theft.
The Allen Police Department suspects this recent theft was well-planned and organized. Officer Sammy Rippamonti explained that it seemed like a coordinated effort where one person distracted the victim while another stole the property.
Fans might think this is getting out of hand with so many high-value card thefts happening lately.
Rippamonti mentioned they are gathering evidence like fingerprints, photos, and videos. They’re even using facial recognition software to try and catch those seen in the surveillance footage.
What do you think about all these card thefts?
